I get asked all the time, “Do we need to run your belt?” The answer really is yes. Why, you might ask? The reason is simple: width. Our belt is wider than the OEM belt.
You could still use your OEM belt in a pinch, such as when you need to make it home or in an emergency.
However, for proper DURACLUTCH calibration and greater belt longevity, we recommend using our belt.
