R-SERIES: The New Roller Clutch
Our DURACLUTCH R-SERIES is built differently. Instead of flyweights, it uses six sealed internal rollers. The sealed enclosure keeps out dust and grit, while the rollers make engagement incredibly smooth. It’s the most advanced UTV clutch kit we’ve ever made.

The R-SERIES comes in two versions: RXS and RXL.
The RXS: A Compact Roller Clutch
Red Carbon-Fiber Pattern Cover:
Designed for 900cc and smaller machines like the RANGER 900, RZR 900, RANGER 800, RANGER 570, RANGER 500, RANGER 400, and SPORTSMAN.
Silver Storm Carbon-Fiber Pattern Cover (Black):
Same compact design, but tuned for 1000cc machines. That includes the GENERAL 1000, RZR XP 1000, and RANGER 1000.
Other Brands: The RXS also fits some Bobcat and Gravely UTVs!
Every RXS kit is tuned to your machine. We’ll ask about tire size and elevation so your clutch performs perfectly in your riding conditions.
The RXL: Large Diameter Roller for 1000cc machines
The DURACLUTCH RXL is built specifically for 1000cc machines. It’s larger in diameter than the RXS, giving it the strength and smoothness needed for the heavy-duty 1000cc machines.
When you order an RXL, we’ll ask you a few quick questions:
- Do you have a RANGER NORTHSTAR model or a standard XP 1000?
- What year is your RANGER? If you are unsure in any way, check your VIN number, that will give you the correct model year
- Are you running stock tires or oversized tires?
- What elevation do you usually ride at?
Your clutch will arrive pre-tuned for your exact setup. You can order the RXL by itself or as a system with our post-tied secondary. I recommend the full setup for the best results, but if your existing secondary is in great condition, you can save money by reusing it.
How to Pick the Right U.S. A. made DURACLUTCH Kit for Your Polaris
Here’s the quick guide:
- Most Polaris UTV and ATV models, and you have a preference for the flyweights and internal clutch packs: S-SERIES.
- 900cc and smaller machines (RANGER 900, RZR 900, RANGER 800, 570, 500, 400, SPORTSMAN): RXS with the red carbon-fiber pattern cover.
- 1000cc machines (GENERAL 1000, RZR XP 1000, RANGER 1000): RXS with the black or Silver Storm carbon-fiber pattern cover.
- RANGER XP 1000: RXL.
